• Planning

We help our new teacher set priorities and manage their time so they create a routine of organization centered around what’s most important. Time and Task management are essential part of our framework.

  • Perception

Our teachers are trained experts in implementing interventions across grade levels and curriculums. Few special education teachers know what they know. Their perception of themselves are different than the average special education teacher because of their confidence and teacher efficacy.

  • Parity

Some experts believe that where there is no parity, co-teaching cannot exist. We help co-teachers establish a 50/50 partnership in delivering instruction, assessing students, and managing the classroom.

The 3 C’s of effective Special Education practices

Co-teaching

Co-teaching is a collaborative approach to instruction in which a general education teacher and a special education teacher, work together to plan and then implement instruction for a class that includes students with disabilities. Our approach demystifies special education practices for the general education teacher while supplying our special education teachers with interventions to met the needs of all students in the inclusive classroom

Collaboration

We help new special education teachers to strategically and purposefully build interpersonal relationships with teachers and other professionals based on a shared vision and goals. We support school communities on becoming mission oriented and focused on a common vision that is greater than their self focused one, that can prevent an organization from being the best it can be. Our approach seeks to serve the needs of all stakeholders, especially the students with disabilities.

Compliance

We provide intensive training and professional development focusing on the 6 pillars of Special Education that is derived from legislation regulating Special Education services for children with disabilities. It is extremely important for Special Education teachers to be in compliance with IDEA because it drives our professional practices and insures that student's rights are respected and protected.
